The first of our route 66 group has landed in America, Ian had some trouble with connecting flights and had a very long trip from NZ.  Brian has caught  a tummy bug and has not been that well for the first few days which is very unfortunate.  Ngaire, Russell and Ian have caught up with an old friend of ours Pammy and she has shown them some of the sights in the windy city.  In true Ngaire form she picked up two travelers along the way who stayed with them for most of the day. 

Today they have picked up the bikes and started on the tour, look out route 66!!

that is all the info i have for now, I will tell more when I arrive in Amarillo....if only someone can show me the way.

from the city of sails to the windy city the trip has well and truly begun!

Two Americans and the Kiwi's
Hello to our new friends! We had so much fun sharing the day with you in Chicago. We managed to drink our way through a good portion of the windy city and finally stumbled (not literally) into an authentic Irish Pub yesterday. We danced at the House of Blues Thursday and Friday night - taking it slow today.
Safe travels on Route 66! We will see you in Napa, CA. Bryan and Carole

I am very excited for you all. Brian glad you are feeling better, and hopefully the storm has abated.
