Since the last entry we've been quite busy. We went to
Beachcomber Island for the day. Its meant to be party island, but it
was full of people from cruise ships!!!! The snorkelling was good, we
saw loads of different fish and coral reefs. In the afternoon we went
out on a boat to feed the fish with the leftovers from lunch, they came
really close to the boats and there were loads of swordfish.
For the
past week we've been island hopping around the Yasawa Islands, which
are north of the mainland. The first stop was Tavewa Island for 2
nights, it took 5 hours to get there on a catamaran. We stayed at Coral
View Resort in a bure (room for 2 people). While we were there we went
to the Sawailau Caves where we had to swim underwater to get to the
caves, not good as it was a bit claustrophobic!! The caves were amazing
and the guides had to use torches to guide us round. The second stop
was Nanuya Balavu Island, where we stayed at Manta Ray Resort for 1
night. Our bure was right on the beach and  the views were
incredible as the resort was built into the hillside. The third stop
was the Wayalailai Eco Haven Resort for 2 nights, where it rained every
night!! The first night the roof leaked and the water came through and
soaked Anne while she was in bed!!!!!! The second night they put
tarpauling on the roof which blew off so we still got wet!!!! When it
finally finished raining we went snorkelling on the reef where we saw 2
reef sharks which swam underneath us. The last island was Bounty Island
for 1 night where they filmed the first series of Celebrity Love
Island. We went to see the set of Love Island, it looked exactly like
it did on tv, but it was very rundown, all that was left was the love
shack on the beach which they are going to pull down soon. Yesterday we
went to Monuriki island where they filmed Castaway with Tom Hanks. The
whole trip was really good, the only downfall was that the rain seemed
to follow us down the islands!!!! We also had no hot water all week!!!!

Hope everyones well, tomorrow we fly to the Cook Islands.
