Where I stayed
What I did
Rob, Kris' and Michael's bathroom (there was a tree in it!!!!!)
The weather was tropically and the atmosphere relaxed as we spoke our vows and laughed the afternoon way.
There was all that is expected at a 'normal' wedding,
walking down the isle,
hilarious groom men,
throwing of the bouquet,
our first dance ect ect..
but there was a slight twist,
shall we say a slight island twist of fiji culture, customs and a overall Beach theme. I will explain below;
In true Fiji style the ''wedding' itself was only organised the day before the event. My bridal waltz comprised of four local Fijians playing an unheard tune. The 'arch' was made out of colourful tropical flowers, not a typical arch if you ask me.
The isle meandered through rocks to get to the patch of sand were my handsome husband awaited. The reception dinner was made from a traditional Fijian Lova. Yum Yum! (well i think it was, as I was too busy talking to eat!)
Our entertainment for the night was a local choir and dancers. All of these reasons made our day extra special and we loved it all but one of the stand out highlights for me was when my dad and I started to walk down the isle.
I had been in side all day you see, so it felt bloody fantastic when I stepped out into a clear picturesque day with the sun shinning on me
I took a moment to dig my toes into the warm golden sand (this maybe because I was stuck on a nail) and I thought ahhhhhhhh this is Bliss and this is how I wanted to feel on my wedding day.
I looked eagerly down the beach, spotting my husband and our closest loved ones waiting for us. So I decided to make my way down to say G'day
A big thanks to all who travelled such a long way to be with us, as it would have not been the same without you there.
