Took the chicken bus in the morning and reached at the dusty bus park behind the local market in Masaya. The market is indoor and huge, we kept getting lost. It really has everything, from hammocks, bags, and other artisanal tourist things, to shoes, modern clothes, medicines, hairdresser, furniture to meat, fish, vegetables fruits and spices.
Later we went to the tourist marked at the other side of town and were surprised to just find a little extract of the tourist stuff corner of the local market and everything double as expensive. I tried to bargain down to what we knew from the local marked, but no chance, I even asked directly if I have to go to the other market if I want it for that lower price and the answer was yes. They are really not interested, maybe the fact that there is a DHL directly inside the tourist market shows that there are enough buyers around ;-)
