Had a such a good week here in the land of Oz! We left Sydney early Monday morning to go to a Surf Camp in Arrawarra. Most of the day was spent driving, we had a few stops on the way and arrived around 5pm. The weather was so awful - proper monsoon rain!! It just didn't stop, so the camp site was completely flooded. We had a great BBQ in the evening with salad and veg! Something I haven't seen for a while!! Stocked up on our 5 a day for the past week!
It was an early start on Tuesday for our surf lesson at 7am! It was nearly cancelled because of the massive storms but luckily the thunder and lightening stopped just in time! Surfing was sooooooooooo much fun!!!! We had a lesson on the beach - all laying on our surf boards, so wish I had a photo! Then hit the waves!! Haha. It was brilliant! Managed to stand up about 4-5 times but the rest of it was just spent being thrown under water and wiped out by massive waves! It was the best few hours, loved it! After a few hours in the sea we were all quite cold so thawed out in the shower before getting the bus to Byron Bay.
We've had a great 5 days in Byron. We managed to get a room for four people so we were all quite relieved not to be sharing with any smelly random boys! Haha. The weather has been amazing so we've spent a lot of time at the beach which has been so lovely. On Thursday morning we got up at 5am to go and watch the sunrise at Australia's most easterly point. It was really cool, bit of cloud around (if we'd of done it the last few days there wouldn't have been a cloud in the sky!) but perfect for taking loads of pics! The nights out in Byron have been great fun, the backpacker club of the town is just across the road from our hostel which is has been very handy!!!

On Friday we went to Nimbin (a little hippy town about 1hour from Byron) which was a good laugh! It's a tiny place, only takes about 3 minutes to walk the whole of the main road! The hospital and police station were just little houses which made me laugh and everyone seemed to know everyone!

Today I'm getting the bus to Brisbane where I'll spend one night before going to Noosa. Unfortunately having to separate from the 3 lovely girls I've been traveling with as they have longer to travel so stopping off at another place before Brisbane. But it's been great fun and we'll definitely have an Oz reunion back home! There's not a cloud in the sky today, so we're hoping that this gorgeous weather will continue up the coast!
Hope you're all well, loads and loads of love xxxxxxxxx

I don't suppose it had anything to do with the poet?
Lovely to speak to you, while you ate your tuna wrap! Is it different to the tuna here? Glad you had fun with the sisters. Liz Callaghan has been having a look at the blog, and I think Tom will have a closer look when he gets back from Oxford.
Love you lots
Speak soon xxxx

Sydney, Surfing and byron
Hey sweetie!! So glad to see that youve been having such a great time! Where abouts are you on the coast at the moment? We are at Airlie Beach and we've been out to the Whitsundays on a boat which was wicked (if you want a day trip go on the Camira boat because its awesome). We are heading for Mackay over the weekend and then flying to Sydney on Monday which we're looking forward to. You will be relieved to know that from here on up the weather has been absolutely fantastic so once you hit the good weather you'll be in it for good. Also, if you were thinking of possibly grabbing some work somewhere, well you can work for accommodation at the mission beach yha and also when we went on our trip to Cape Trib we stayed in a place called the Beach House which was awesome and they were advertising for workers too (just if the dosh is running low). Anyway sweetie enjoy the rest of the coast and we will look forward to reading more soon! love love love xxx
