Only a brief mention because the gent we met on the plane who made quite an impression on us.

Born Seattle - moved to Miami because of the high suicide rate in Seattle (attributed to the cloudy weather, much better in Miami!).
Became a roofer, and is now high up in the roofing echelon.
Has a lot of mates that pack pieces (ie. carry pistols, knives) who like to go out for a good street-fight on Saturday nights.
Has a friend who shot a burglar dead and quite proud of it.
According to him, the US is no longer trading with Argentina especially after the president called George Bush "the devil", so they are having problems sourcing roofing materials. Ummm.... would that be Venezuela by any chance??
