We explored Beaufort SC very briefly and had yummy breakfast. There was an inordinate amount of British folk in the town, but we could never figure out why. It is one of the mysteries of Beaufort. We also sampled wine from an SC winery, which was not good. We then left to head back to Savannah. We drove out to Tybee Island to try and go kayaking. There was none available until early the next morning. I realized I was beached out, so we went back into the city.

We loved our stay at the Marshall House and signed up for a ghost and goblins beer crawl. Savannah is full of ghost stories, and this guy took us to bunches of bars and told stories. I didn't get into the ghost stories too much, but the bar crawl was fun. They actually have Monty Python Beer!

The next day we walked around the parks and shopped. it was dreadfully hot! We took a river cruise and saw a cool bridge. FINALLY we ate dinner at the Pamela tv ladies place and the chicken pot pie was YUMMY! We then watched the fireworks on the river. I was disappointed in the fireworks because there was no music. It was wierd. Definitely Detroit does a better job of the fireworks. We then drove late night back to JAX and I flew out early on Wednesday. the FAA discriminated again (and inconsistently) against women business travellers. I was very disgruntled and haven't let it go yet. I hate checking bags.
