Hey everybody! Now we have arrived in France and have also made it down to the northern coast of Spain. The campgrounds are much cheaper here which is good new for us. We drove all the way from Souse (wrong spelling) to Lourde. It took forever, but we drove through amazing sceanary and it was beautiful. We had driven for about 10 hours when I could not go anymore. We were really close to the coast but, just that hour or two too far to make it the same day. So we ended up in Lourde, one of the mst holy cities in the catholic faith. It was really amazing. We went to the caves where the sites of the holy Mary had been made. So many people. We lit some candles and showered us with holy water. Pretty overwhelming felling. The campspot we had was really nice too, and was run by a older french lady. Nice athmosphere! Ok, so then we drove to Bayonne on the french coast. And man, the roundabouts here are insain. I was freaking out in the third one already...no joke! I had no clue how I was supposed to drive. Nothing like it! Well, we drove down to Spain that day...The waves in France were not looking any good, so why not. On the Basque coast we diod not understand anything, since it's not really spanish, but looks more like greek...And we could not find any open shops, they seemed to have siesta everytime we were not. We had a really nice time though, and stayed two night. I will write more details later since this is the only internet spot in the area, and its's $8 per hour. Right now we are in Hossegor, north of Bayonne. We found a nice campground, with unisex bathrooms..horrible...but the campground is nice and close to the ocean. The waves are small, but have gotten better today. I'm making Ian go out since he did bring his board all the way through mainland Europe for this!!:o)
I'll write mroe later!!! We're on our way to Bordoux soon...and hopefully some good wines!
Aur voua..or something like that!!! hehe
