just a brief update, arrived in bali yesterday where i met helina at the airport. so nice seeing here again, felt quite lonely sitting waiting by myself. the hotel we've booked is really nice and not too expensive, 7pounds each a night and has all the modcons, air-con and tv. going to ease back into the whole budget thing, been living like normal for a while and need time to readjust.
bali isnt like i expected, its much quieter that i thought. i bit like a ghost town, not many people on the streets and lots of shops deserted and closed up. not quite sure why, think its low season but maybe its because of the bombings as well. sit finding our feet here, had dinner last night in a german restaurant had some indonesia fried rice, nasa goreng i think, very spicy. been wondering around for a bit this morning, found the beach which is pretty nice, fully of surfers, its nice that theres no huts or shacks spoiling it like in palolem.
still loads to check out, want to learn to dive if i can. theres good deals on white water rafting and mountain trekking so might try that as well. got to leave in 6 days as helina got a 7day visa whereas i got a 30, oh well. got to work out where we're going next, still dont know!
