David and I decided to escape the city for the day and headed to the small town of Kutna Hora to do some exploring. The first thing we saw was an ossuary inside a church. The decoration of the church was made up of 40,000 human skeletons. It was very bizarre seeing skulls made into bowl and chandeliers but also strangely interesting. After looking at this we went into the town itself where we looked at the architecture, saw the Italian court and the cathedral. We also had a lovely Czech meal of meat and dumplings. Back in the city we went to Cafe Imperial for dinner and I ate Tirimasu (yummy!).
The next day we decided to explore the other side of the Vltava river in Prague. We walked across the Charles Bridge and went up the funicular to see the views of the city. We also saw the John Lennon wall and took a boat ride on the river, even going down some canals to see Prague Venice (a tiny bit of Prague that looks like Venice). The city is very pretty and we got a whole new perspective of it by going on the river.
