We took the bus past the sand dunes of Mui Ne to Dalat, which was a hot, bumpy and long bus ride into the hills and countryside of the Central Highlands. We checked in to a hotel and then went for lunch. After lunch we walked around the town. It is a strange place that feels quite European with lots of greenery and pretty coloured houses and a lake. It didn't feel like Vietnam at all. There is even a copy of the Eiffel Tower there, although much smaller and painted red and white. We went to see the Crazy House, a hotel full of passageways and strange shapes that looks like something out of Alice In Wonderland. For dinner I tried crispy noodles with seafood which was delicious!

The next day we went on a motorbike tour of the surrounding countryside. It was very green and rural. We saw a flower farm, a mushroom farm, a cricket farm, and a place where they harvest silk from silkworms and weave it into silk. It was very interesting to watch it. We also visited a pretty waterfall where we got pretty wet from the spray and I kept slipping on the rocks. We also tried some crazy fruits that we had never seen before at the market. One was called Dragon's Eye, because it looks like an eye. On the way back my driver ran out of petrol so David and his driver went to get some and came back with it in a plastic bag! In the evening we had yet more delicious food of pizza and quesadilla (very Vietnamese!). The next day we took the bus to Saigon.
