Elephants here we come!

To get close enough to the Elephant Conservation Centre (www.changthai.com) so that we could be there for 8:30am the following day we took the bus to Lampang.
I doubted our guide book when it implied that our guesthouse (The Riverside Guesthouse) was the highlight of the whole town, but having spent a couple of hours walking around in the afternoon I'd have to agree. It was a really nice place in an otherwise totally uninteresting town.
