Nice, quiet, sleepy town when we arrived on a Friday.  Hotel room had a partial view of Lake Titicaca.  Main street, 6 de agosto, has a few restaurants and bars, mainly for gringos and then further up the street, more local markets and a cathedral / square.  Very relaxing, felt safe and a good place to unwind after stresses of travelling and hard trekking.

We managed to squeeze in a trip on the Lake out to Isla Del Sol, which is just like a Greek island but with the odd inca ruin.  Otherwise took it easy and relaxed....

sounds like you've had quite a trip so far
I thought you were going to camp all the way - lightweights staying in a hotel!
