Day 28 – Saturday 22nd May

Today we went to the Pululahua reserve to stay the night in a huge extinct volcano crater (the one went to see earlier). The walk down was pretty steep but fun because of it. The hostel at the bottom had amazing food and a hot tub with humming birds flying around it.

Day 29 – Sunday 23rd May

Claire's birthday. The plan was to walk around the crater but the clouds were in so instead we just walked back up out of the crater (an hour’s climb). It was very steep but not as tiring as we thought it would be.

One the way back, we found that one of the busiest roads through the Mariscal area had been closed to traffic and that people were cycling along it. It turns out that they do this every other Sunday. I wish we did the same back home!
