Arrived in Tegus.. Initially I canīt say Iīm very taken with it. It is hot, dirty, noisy, smelly and altogether overwhelming. We spent about enough time in town to eat lunch, decide that we donīt like it very much and be pointed in the direction of the bus to Valle de Angles where we would meet the I-to-I coordinators for our project. Valle is a beautiful little colonial style town a little way out of Tegus. If youīre in the area itīs definately worth a look (and also a great place for souveniers... Although not for us because it was like the first day of our trip).. We are officially mentally shut down at this point (after what is now close to 50 hours straight travelling) and are barely able to navigate what in retrospect is a really small town with the typical parque central located in the middle...in our hotel room we watch The Simpsons in spanish and the water gets turned off for the evening. Interesting. The next day we head for La Esperanza and our volunteer project.
