What do you do when you have 13 hours to kill in LA before you fly to Honduras? If you´re like us you get a so called ´professional´ to book your tickets so that you end up with an 8 hour wait in ARRIVALS (note - 1 starbucks, 1 news agent - thats it) until you can check you bags and move to the (marginally more interesting) departures lounge (lounge used very flexibly here). Helpfull people at the public info desk will suggest busses you can catch to go check out Santa Monica Boulavard but that entails hauling your luggage round all day.. No thanks. We opt to drink coffee and wait. Whee. At check in I accidentally throw a condom at the nice lady beind the TACA air desk whilst trying to get my passport and ticket information out of my bag. Due to my speedy (panicked) reactions this incident goes unnoticed to all save myself and Bec.
