A day and a half in the capital.

Yet another day of travel from the Cameron Highlands to Kuala Lumpar (KL for short). We arrived off the bus about 2pm and couldn't believe the heat, it was absolutely scorching which made the walk to find clean accommodation very tough - we must have looked a sight! Once finding somewhere we jumped on the train into the area where the Petronas Towers are, the tallest building in the world! The towers have an enormous shopping complex in them - Julie was in heaven!

The next day the original plan was to go to the viewing bridge part way up the Petronas Towers, but we slept in and were too late because they only let so many people go up per day and we had already heard about the huge queues. Instead then we went to the KL Tower, which is a communications tower almost as tall as the Petronas building. This turned out to be a much better choice because you get to go much higher than the viewing platform on the Petronas, plus you get amazing views of the whole city. An added bonus was the World's Tallest Man who was there for people to have their photos taken with him, it was a bit like a freak show with everyone staring at him! He was bloody tall though - 7ft10 we think. There was also the Worlds Tallest Wrestler who was just a wee bit shorter (never seen him on WWF though!) The rest of the day was spent shopping, there were sooo many shops from designers to Top Shop!

That night we caught an overnight train to Singapore. We could only get seats though, no beds, so we didn't sleep a wink.
