The city of Dreden is divided into Altstadt( South ) and Neustadt ( North ) by the river Elbe. The Altstadt is where all the historical building is located. Wow, its a very impressive city, despite the war, the reconstruction has done well in the city. Its almost like a living museum. There are HUGE fancy architectures everywhere you walked to. The Best building is Zwinger where its got a nice fountain/garden in the center and it houses several museums
In the afternoon I visited the Armoury museum and Science instrument museum, they were loaded with weapons and globes from 2-3 hundred years ago. Even forceps from the 1800's !!!
Some interesting things I found today is that all the water fountains in Germany are COIN-FREE unlike the US where everyone drop in their wish-coin. Also drinking is PUBLICKLY acceptable??? I saw teenagers holding beers cans drinking inside a commuter train. Very interesting.
