10th - Continued to Oualata, had 2 punctures within 1hr of one another.  There are tracks going left, right and center, so it was hard for Chris to guess the correct route.  Came into a town to see where we were going, was the wrong way and went back the exact same way we came in and bogged in deep sand.  It took 4hrs of digging, 11am to 3pm - heat of the day, was a big relief to get the truck out..lucky we had use of the local well nearby.  Travelled out of town and managed to get a local to guide us to Oualata.  10 mins later we were bogged for another 2hrs, the guide left us after 1hr.

Dist. cov = 72.8 km

11th - Early start more boggings so we parked up during the middle of the day and on to 6pm. The road has beaten us 25km from Oualata, which could take us a week to get there, heading towards Mali now Road to Oualata

.  Another 3hrs of bogging and we called it a night at 9pm.  Randomly met a Norwegian speaking person early in the day...how random is that.

Dist cov = 94 km

12th - Early morning run to Nema to stock up on water before the border.  A few more boggings and then we were home free.  Headed south to Mali, bush camping 27km short of Nara, Mali.  Had another puncture today.  Before we crossed the border only 34 people had done so beforehand.

Dist cov. = 213 km

Total dist cov. = 5487.8 km
