We left Chicago as planned at 5am drove with 2 short breaks and crossed into Canada at Lake Huron after 66 days 13,304miles.  Drove past Toronto, everything was going well and on schedule and THEN!!!!!

We felt a little rocking...................... looked in the mirror and the trailer is rocking side to side only 225miles from home and BLOW-OUT . One of the trailer tyres has had a blow-out. So there we are on the side of the 401, the main route between Toronto and Montreal with a trailer and a flat tyre!!! The side of the roads are not like the UK with tar maced hard shoulders and emergency telephones, so we unhitched the trailer and fortunately at the next exit was a Walmart.  Anyway, we used their phone to ring the CAA to call for a recovery vehicle to change the tyres and after a 5 1/2 hours delay we got home safely at 2.30am and very, very tired!

To be honest it could have been worse after driving all those miles and 225 miles from home we had our first driving incident since the spanner & bearing episode on the first day!

Our holiday of a lifetime has now officially finished and its back to the real world!! 

The first job was to book in for haircuts (except for Andy who had a very short hair cut in
Page, Arizona!)

We'll now keep you updated with our new life in Canada.
