We got up at 07:30 for the Barra Feeding which turned out to be a major disappointment, Graham and Nelly were there and amused us with their Swan battling techniques while we all kept a distance. The woman soon appeared but to be fair the Barra feeding was a major disappointment in comparison to yesterday. We got back and woke Lady E telling her it was the highlight of my trip so far. We demolished camp after a fantastic few days loaded the 4WD and after a short stop off to say goodbye to Nico and collecting two dozen oysters we headed back down the coast road. Our first stop off was the black mountains where there are lots of snakes and other animals (oh that reminds me at one point over the last two days Col spotted one of the real poisonous brown snakes at the side of the road).

We mosied back up and down the steep gravel tracks stopping at a beach or two and stopped for lunch at Cape Tribulation at a place with a swimming hole. We briefly watched some young lads doing some very daring things with a rope swing, it made me cringe a little at the things you do when you are younger and the lack of recognition of mortal danger. Erica Edit: and all this with a cigarette in his mouth! We were soon back on the road and after another lookout stop with fantastic views looking down the beach. There were people thermal gliding which essentially meant after hangliding off the edge of the cliff they continued to lift and rise getting higher and higher.

We arrived back at Sonja and Cols and found that we were a little too late to pick up the camper van. Feeling absolutely shattered I managed an early evening sleep and woke up to find it pitch black and the smell of roast lamb wafting through the house. The lamb was superb and a real treat so thank you guys. An early night followed after a episode of Top Gear typical of a Sunday night in the UK winter.
