Chennai was formerly known as Madras. Nothing special here. It's just a huge city with 6.4 million people with all the noise and traffic jams and pollution that come with it.

I only spent one day here transiting between Kolkata and Bangalore. Quite frankly, from a touristic point of view, one day is all it deserves. I only put it here so I could show you the picture of that little girl I ran into in a park. Her outfit is very typical of southern India and simply beautiful.
