It was nice and sunny this day. I need to stress that point as it was mostly raining throughout our trip on Fiji. We did two morning dives at the Ringgold Atoll (Kokoda Point, Wall Street). Kokoda Point is a wall dive. The wall drops quite spectacularly into the abyss. However, we did not see any large marine animals. While the wall the wall is quite nice and the visibility is >30m there was not that much to see. The second dive at Wall Street was more interesting as we saw white-tip reef sharks, a Napoleon wrasse, and a banded sea snake (20 time more venomous than any other land snake). Here the visibility was even better and almost comparable to that in the Grand Cayman Islands. After the morning dives we hiked up the volcano on Cobia. Cobia is a small atoll northeast of Taveuni and unpopulated. The slopes are covered in roots which is quite a sight. Once on top of the volcano we did a "yoga" session, which rather resembled a general stretching session. The view from the crater top was fantastic. Afterward we hiked down and kayaked on the crater lake and to a beautiful small beach. Pisa (one of the ships staff) climbed up a palm tree and plucked a few fresh coconuts that we than drank on the beach. After some fun on the beach we went back on board of the ship and sailed to Vanua Levu to pick up one of the owners of the sailing boat. In the evening we had a lobster dinner on the top deck of the boat.
