We took a early bus direct to Copan, Honduras. It was a breeze getting though the border. Just give them the money and they are happy. The exchange rate is about 1:19. So you feel pretty rich when you take out 10,000 Lempiras from the atm.
Copan is a similar colonial town like antigua. Cobblestone streets, and a tiny central park. We didnīt go to the ruins, they are smaller... and we have already seen the ruins in guatemala. We simply used copan as a stop over before we head to La ceiba, and the bay island, Utila. I canīt really say much about copan becuase we didnīt do anything. But you definitely notice the difference in Honduras. The people seem friendlier, and more relaxed. and the land is full of mountains, and rainforest. The highlight was our hotel. It was very nice for a cheap price. A few gringo restaurants are in town, but horrible service... which is usual.
