Slovensky Raj (Slovak Paradise) is a huge national park just outside of Levoca. We were ready for some time outdoors and the parks hiking trails seemed just the ticket.
We started the day with a visit to the Dobsinka Ice Caves. We didn't want to wait 2 hours for the english tour, so we went on the german tour. It was just recordings anyway, and I could follow most of it. Frankly, the caves would have been fascinating with no audio tour.
The rest of the day was spent hiking up the Sucha Bela trail. This trail is fairly well-known because portions of it consist of steep ladders, steps, and chains. It was a little nerve-wracking, I'm afraid of heights and don't normally do well with ladders. But the trail was fun, and the views from the top of the trail were gorgeous.
