No pictures from Vienna because they were part of the set lost when our storage drive failed. We didn't take too many because it rained the entire time we were there!

Vienna is an easy train ride from Budapest, and it was nice to be back in a place where the language was familiar and I coud converse with people relatively easy. Everything is clean, modern, and efficient--and the prices reflect it. After Budapest the expense was even more striking. Also--Vienna welcomed us with the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in my life. I get grossed out thinking about it even now so we'll just say that some people in Vienna really love their dogs.

Vienna was a whirlwin tour of St Stephen's church, Hofburg Palace, the Votive Church, Schloss Schonbrunn (complete with apple strudel demo and tasting), Naschmarkt (and doner kebab), Sachertorte, the Prater (practically deserted and a little creepy), Belvedere Palace, Kunsthistoriches Museum, and the Hundert Wasser Haus.

Train back to Budapest a few days later, staying at a bland business hotel that can only be recommended for it's convenience--there's a car rental pick up office in the lobby.
