We drove from Mont St. Michel to the Normandy beaches and Juno beach in particular. Juno beach was the landing spot for the Canadian troop on D-Day back in 1944.
From Juno we drove to Abbeville for the night. We drove to Vimy the next morning to see the monument to WWI soldiers there.
From Vimy we drove to Luxembourg which is a very picturesque city surrounded by city walls. The tour de Luxembourg was on which meant a city full of bikers and cheering crowds. We enjoyed a great dinner in the city centre.
The next morning we toured the Bock Casements which are tunnels that were dug out under the city for use in defence hundreds of years ago; pretty cool.
We drove from Luxembourg city to Vianden a great town with a beautiful castle and then on to Maastrict were we are staying tonight.
....on to Brussels, Ghent and Brugges tomorrow.
