La Paz, Bolivia

From Cusco we took a bus to Puno on Lake Titicaca. From Puno we took a half day tour to the Isla Los Uros. There are about 3000 people who live on floating islands made of reeds. They also make their huts and boats out of the reeds. The islands are about 4 feet thick, floating in water about 30 feet deep. It would be quite and interesting way to live.
From Puno we took a bus to Copacobana (the one in Bolivia, not the one in Brazil). We met lots of other travellers on the bus and ended up having a fun night out playing pool and salsa dancing. We spent the next day doing a 5 hour hike to the port where we were able to get a boat across to Isla Del Sol. In Incan mythology this is the place where the sun was created. We spent the night there and then took a ferry this morning back to Copocabana and a bus on to La Paz where we are at the moment.
We´re booked onto a full-day mountain bike tour tomorrow so that should be good.
