At least it turns out that the 36 hours included a 12 hour night stop in Managua, Nicaragua. The city seemed a bit dodgy, we got a taxi to the shopping centre where we got some supper. Going to the shopping centre is like going to a different planet, so different from the city.
We´re in San Jose, Costa Rica now. We´re heading to the beach today, however we went to the laundry yesterday to drop off our clothes and didn´t manage to pick them up before it closed so now we have to wait to pick them up until we get back to San Jose since it´s sunday and we can´t get them today. We may get a little stinky in the next few days. San Jose is a nice city, it´s great to be somewhere where you´re a bit less worried about safety. We went to the butterfly park yesterday which was beautiful. Hoping to catch a bus to the pacific coast today.
