I got to Killarney two days ago, unfortunately the weather has not cooperated and I haven't been able to do any hikes or bike riding as hoped. The weather cleared up some yesterday and I did a tour of the ring of Kerry. Basically, the tour was a scenic drive around this peninsula. The tour consisted of driving...jumping out for pics...more driving...more pics and so on. That is why I hate tours and cant ever imagine spending two weeks on a prearranged tour, I so much prefer arranging things myself. I can't believe the narrowness of the roads, more than once I thought we would end up in a ditch or worse, fall off a cliff.

I tried my first Guiness at the pub last night. I've never been fond of beer and I can't say I feel any different about Guinness. I did get a pic of me at least pretending to enjoy my first Guinness though. I think I'll stick to my girly drinks, thank you. With such rainy weather I definitely see why the pub is the focus of social life.

I'm off to Galway tomorrow. Should be there for two days before heading back to Dublin.
