I know that it's been awhile.....sorry about that! I just finished up my 2 years in M-car and took a vaca to Thailand with my fellow Peace Corps friend, John. I will continue home to Central Illinois/Chicago for a month with friends and family and then return to M-car for a 3rd year. I took a new job that I am very excited about with the Min. of Ed. (revising middle school english curriculum) and tv M (the national tv station developing a tv promoting english to teenagers). More on that later, but it was off to Thailand to see temples, ride elephants, and hang out on the beach. I'll try to get some photos uploaded here. We spent the first 3 days in Bangkok seeing the sites and then 3 days in the south of the island (Phuket) to hang out with all the Aussies on the beach (and I rode an elephant!!!) and then back to Bangkok to fly out. I would STRONGLY recommend ANYONE to go to Thailand! It was SOOOO beautiful-ornate Buddist temples to beautiful beaches- and elephants! Plus, the dollar went pretty far there compared to other vacation places. Check it out! It was worth every penny in my book.
I'll be home July 14 to August 12, so feel free to drop me a line. Again, sorry for not writing more.....but time (and paying for internet) always escapes me! Have a good summer (or winter in M-car) and hope to hear from you soon.
