Amy left today for her very first leg of the journey that will become the next two years of her life. After a 4:30 AM wake up call, her 9:03 flight out of O'Hare airport left on time and actually arrived 15 minutes early! (The first time Amy's ever been early!!) J/K
Training for the coming journey has begun and will continue through Tuesday, when her flight to Johannesburg, South Africa will depart. Her arrival in "Tana" should be sometime on Wednesday, 6/14. More updates to follow!

Thinking of You!
I just want to let you know we are all thinking of you and your exciting journey! Your in our thoughts and prayers! Love you! Ninae
Hello Amy! Britt writing again
I hope that I am doing this right because Kirk is asleep and I might be typing this twice. I'm glad that you are doing well and that the place where you are going has a toilet (they are always a plus!). I'm sorry about my first letter to you because I did not know that everyone could read it. I wouldn't have talked about your knockers :). Uncle Randy was the one who told me (go figure!)
I hope I spelled knockers right:).
I am having trouble sleeping at night (so I am writing to you late) because I am having a leg hurting problem that came about with giving birth to Ben and Alex. I'm going to the doctor on wednesday so everyone get off my back! (not you Amy)
I just want you to know that I think about you often and my heart goes out to what you are doing. Which reminds me. I bet you know what it is like to be Africa hot now! Wait, you said it was winter there (my bad!).
I would love it if you could do me a favor while you are in Africa. Please take pictures of any werid bugs that you might see. Ben has a thing for bugs now (he just learned how to say the word). I bet they grow them big down there! We have alien looking bugs around here that I have never seen before and we just live out west of the Fox River Valley. Make sure you use your zoom feature so you don't have to get to close. The one problem with Ben is that he wants to pick up all the bugs he sees now.
I think that I am sooo tired now that I do not know what I am writing and I know that my sentence structure and spelling have gone out the window so I apoligize for that.
I hope this e-mail message finds you well and to all the nosey people in our family, all I have to say is, Beeeeeeeeeep! Beeeeeeeeeep! Beeeeeeeeeeeeep!
With All Our Love,
Kirk, Britt, Ben and Alex
