After four months (4 months already!!!???) of exploring the continent solo, I now have a travel buddy! Rebecca flew in from Vancouver, and we´re going to head down to camp through Patagonia together.
I went out for beer and empanadas in San Telmo with Amanda, Tanja and Kat, three of the girls I met at Playa Ritoque. We spent the afternoon reminiscing and making our plans to return there for New Years next year. It's so far away, but I'm already looking forward to it. A large group of us went out for an Argentinean steak dinner. For $15 per person we had complimentary bread and empanadas for starters, a steak dinner, about a bottle of wine per person and a bite of dessert. I have now tried 4 Argentinean steaks, and am still not impressed with the supposed 'best steak in the world'... I think us Albertans are spoiled with that Angus AAA beef! Rebecca and I visited the Museo Evita in Palermo which is an old restored mansion that used to be used as one of the Social Homes that she started. I was more impressed with this museum than I have been of most other museums I've visited so far. In the following weeks we'll be off to Iguazu Falls, Tigre, Uruguay and ultimately Patagonia.
