As I had to wait for the next flight which was in a couple of hours, I fell asleep by accident just before the flight and nearly missed it! The flight was really bumpy and I hung onto the window and the seat all the way there, which made the woman next to me laugh a lot. She said she does the flight all the tine and it is always like that. The fact that the air stewardesses weren't allowed off their seats didn't help the situation. But we landed and I am ok!
I took the Hotel Shuttle to the hostel as it was right up the other end of the strip, and I thought if I did that it would be like a quick cheap tour of the hotels. By the time I got to the hostel I was totally disorientated as the hotels are massive and have their own roads into them. The hostel I stayed in was away from the main strip on Freemont St, and was not in the nicest area. It's \an old hotel so all the rooms have 'ensuites' and are quite large. I was disappointed that the swimming pool had no water in it as that was one of the reasons I had gone there.
There were two English girls (Kirsty and Amanda from Slough) in my dorm, and they said they were going out later. I asked them to wake me up before they went out. I woke up at midnight and they were both asleep - they had fallen asleep by accident, and although Vega is a 24 hour city we just stayed in the bar in the hostel. We met a couple of guys that worked there as everyone else had gone out - Leonard (maintenance guy who I gave some grief about the swimming pool), Jens (Swiss bar man) and Dave (with a lisp that tried to teach me who to play pool even though I already knew how) . I went back to bed at 3am after a few cocktails and games of pool.
