Today I went to Whistler which is a 2 hr bus ride north of Vancouver. It's basically a skiing village, looks a lot like how you would imagine a alpine snow lodge town with picturesque snow topped mountains behind. On the bus ride there I watched 'The Girl Next Door' which was typical US Rom-Com just like I like!

Once I arrived at Whistler I checked out the visitor centre to see what I could do. I thought about going on a sow mobile, but thought I'd wait until Elle is with me so I can enjoy it with someone I know. So I decided to do a zip/tree trek which are those hanging chair type things that are joined by tress and you fly through the air - however I hadn't booked and had forgot it was a Saturday so couldn't get a place on the ride. As I can't ski or snow-board, I decided to have a leisurely time and rest my feet, so I sat in a hot tub, sauna and steam room at the bottom of the mountains for a couple of hours - ahh, how relaxing Whistler

. After that I just wandered around Whistlers shops, had a quick read of some mags in the library, had a fantastic Splitz burger for lunch, watched all the skiers come and go up and down the mountain then pondered around again. The weather turned for the worst, it really started raining so I was glad when 4pm came around and I could get on the bus home - I watched 'Anchorman' on the return journey.

After a quick change when I got back Jamie and I drove over to her friend Jen's house in Burnaby where we then went to an Ice Hockey Party at a sports club. The people there were very nice and the music was good. I tried the local cocktail called Ceaser (Vodka, Tabasco, Worcester sauce and clamato juice - clam juice), YUCK, it felt like I had sick stuck in my throat. I didn't drink much after that and then Jen's niece Danielle wanted to go back and watch TV so I went with her and we just chilled out/passed out. Jamie, Jen and two friends returned at about 1.30am quite drunk and were very funny, falling over and 'spinning out'. They made chicken wings and Craft Dinner (macaroni cheese), so we had a early morning snack!
