We spent our first official day at the orphanage.  I think when we left for the orphanage this morning we wondered if the week would be too long...would we get bored?  Would we find enough to do?  When we left tonight we wondered if we would get it all done this week... can we stay another month?

Today was primarily about assessing some of the kids, building rapport with the nurses and staff, answering some of their questions.....and getting a playroom started!  I would love to tell you about all of the kids... and give you full details of every aspect of the day...but it would take 69 hours of typing...667 pages of text....and we are both beat!

Please keep us in your prayers the next couple days--for wisdom-to see what we need to see, to effectively teach staff...we don't want to overwhelm with too much teaching...but want to give the kids the best that we can.  Please pray also for Alex, the 16 y.o nephew of Betty, our Director and assistant--he was not feeling well today and is going to be undergoing an emergency appendectomy in about 20 minutes....

 More tomorrow!
