We are 18 days from departure.  The girls are getting pretty excited.   In fact, the only reason that I really know that we have on 18 days until departure, is because Lindsey (my rental daughter) has been counting down since the day she was invited to come along.  (Now, hopefully for her, she can keep her Mom very happy and she will really get to go.)

We still have some things that need doing before we leave.  We don't road trip very often, so I'm sure that we will over pack.  Not to mention, our travel budget keeps shrinking because of the rising gas prices.  Oh well, I'm sure that we will have a great time just the same.

One of the requirements of each of the girls will be to 'blog' their way across the country.  I have instructed them to behave like a photojournalist and photograph and write about some of the things that they see, do, and experience.  I think it will make the trip a bit more meaningful for them.  I am going to ask the girls to introduce themselves with each blog entry so readers know whose perspective they are getting.

Please, give us your feedback.  This is a first for all four of us and I would like to make it a memorable learning experience for all of us!

Thanks for checking up on us. We just posted some photos of the car cleaning. Things are really starting to heat up!!!
