Now in Macau.

Slept like a log in our 2mx2m single bed guest house. After a quick breakfast of noodles and creamy chinese tea in Kowloon we were off.

Caught a ferry to Macau from Kowloon / Hong Kong - around mid morning. Amy and I had some noodles and some delicious creamy tea for breakfast. Food is pretty cheap and good.

Took about an hour on the boat - weather was not to bad just misty with not much visibility.
Arrived in Macau with hotel already booked so received a free transfer form the ferry terminal.

Hotel was good with free buffet breakfast and internet use.

Grabbed some food which was pretty hard to find and headed to the Wynn Casino (opulent) before grabing some lunch. Not much English spoken here Amy scared the waiter who ran away and ended up calling a friend to explain the menu - this still did not help - we eventually had some food on the table which ended up being pretty good.

Caught a bus on the advice of our hotel concierge to the lighthouse which was a good vantage point to see the island of Macau and those surrounding it. There was a distinct old Macau which looked as though it was falling down and the new Macau which was massive Casinos with all the outlets (Armani / Prada / Louis Vutton).

Sunset - So we walked down to the Old Macau and discovered the view from the lighthouse was deceiving and that Old Macau actually had a charismatic little portugese feel. With cobble streets, alley ways, friendly locals and a great atmosphere. However we did find it extremely hard to find something decent to eat that wasn't over priced. I was later informed that there are may places to eat.

Ended up at Casion (Lisa Boyia) or something like that which was this massive, top heavy casino which seemed to dwarf both Old and New Macau. Everywhere you looked this building smacked you in the face. Lost $100HKD on Black thanks to Amy.

Early night as early start with a ferry back to Hong Kong for a meeting with Leighton Asia HR Manager.
