David here - Just days before departure almost everything organised with a few minor hiccups. Mainly Amy's.
The way we see it is that if we have each other, money and the plane tickets we are set. It has not really sunk in yet that we are on the cusp of an adventure that will more than likely change our lives...
We are pretty excited at the trip we have created and focus on one leg like Cuba for a bit then Victoria or California for the next. All will be amazing.
Amy here - I'm so excited about this trip. We've been planning this trip for so long and finally the week of our departure has arrived. We've packed our bags, made a list and have checked it twice and we've found out that David's been naughty and Amy's been nice.
It's hard to pick out what I'm looking forward to the most but I think at the moment I'm hanging out to see Cuba and Peru. All of it is going to be amazing and I'm glad that we get to share it with family and friends through this blog.
On your mark, get set ....

Hi Brian and Kay. (reply) Jan 23, 2008 17:20 EST by amydavid
We took your advice.
We have around three weeks scheduled in Patagonia.
Shall keep you posted and do the leg work. This way you will only see the good stuff.
There is a good posibility that Antartica will also make the itinerary so if you are in the area...
Mum and Dad (possibly James) are also hedging that they might join me for some of the travel mid way through next... show all
