Where I stayed
With family and friends

A very special 3 weeks with my Grandma, Liz, driving through the beautiful English countryside visiting long lost family and friends, which were all new-found for me! I witnessed so many lovely reunions with people my Nan hadn't seen since her last visit "home" 25 years ago!

As the chauffeur, I managed to get us in one piece (albeit rather dizzy from all the repeat roundabouts where I'd missed the exit!) over a pretty vast area north to Oxford, south to Charmouth in Dorset, east to Tenterden in Kent and west to Bath. Absolutely gorgeous scenery - green rolling hills punctuated by fields of fluorescent yellow rapeseed crops, woodlands carpeted with vibrant blue bells and cute English cottage gardens all out in bloom.

A "luuurvley" time with the Luke family in Frilsham, a "rather fun" stay with David in Tenterden, a nostalgic visit to Marlow and Hurley with the Castrees, a trip to Finlandia and a Wii bit of hilarity with Chris & Ali on our day trip to Charmouth stopping en route at the Abbortsbury Swannery where it was easy to mistake the sound of baby swans with castrated lambs, a "jolly rarrrrrring" time with Gavin, Lynn and the boys in Epwell Oxfordshire, a tick off the bucket list with a dip in Bath, a gallivant through the valley of the horses with cousins Pat and Sue in Lambourne all topped off with the occasional cream tea!

An incredible journey of family discovery that I will cherish forever! Thanks Nan xo

Amy, great to see the photos of all those great spots in the UK with your Gran. This is a great way to keep in touch. Hope all is going well, looks like you are having a fantastic time. We are missing you in Perth and on the coffee run. Take care, Nick.

This is a good way to update us - great website. Looks like you are having a great time. It looks like 'strawberries and cream' weather in the countryside. Great you have had the opportunity to have this experience with your Nan.

Further to what Nick has said there are days when Nick brings back your order having forgotten you are not at BGN anymore! We all need therapy or maybe a holdiday!

Sounds like a great experience so far, and it's only just begun!
Looking forward to the next updates...enjoy and have fun! I'm sure that you are! FL
