Day Off!
Entry 55 of 64 | show all | print this entry |
So I had my second to last day off of the summer. Play day! My mate Johnny took off work this afternoon to go play with me in London! I hopped on the free train (ha! Got a free ride again, I never get a ticket, only been caught once!) and headed to Waterloo. We met up for lunch and went to Buckingham Palace. It's only open 6 weeks out of the year. It was pretty cool. I learned alot about the royal past and the Queen. She seem like a nice old woman. A little too rich and a little too in love with stupid swans, but a nice old woman. Then we went to the Bodies exhibit in Earls Court. THAT was amazing. You should definately check it out if its ever near. Or just look online. Its all proper dead bodies plastified (is that even a word?) Then are skinned and disected in different ways and made like plastic. They had different exhibits for each body system (nerves, digestive, respiratory, circulatory, reproduction...) It was amazing! You just have to see it. It was like a real life (or real dead) art show. Like sculptures only real. So cool. They even had one body that showed all kinds of orthopedic operations like pins and braces and screws and stuff. It was neat to see "in your face" some injuries of people we know. Like Danny's pins in his leg. And Stuart and Damians back stuff. Anyway, we were in there hours! Then we went for dinner on the river and headed back to the lake! Fun day off!
