Well, home may be where your stuff is... but Wichita is home-home. You know, I was born here, lived here for 18 year. All my family is here!!! So when I arrived at 1:30a.m. Saturday night, my cool parents were still awake and waiting for me! It was great. Sunday morning we, of course, went to church with Grandma Weezie and had lunch. Typical Sunday, just hanging out. Monday was Eric's league golf tournament. Wow. I watched 18 holes of golf! 18! I've never been that quiet in my life! It was nearly torture! But it was good to see my little (little, yeah right) brother in action! That night I used my sweet Italian influences and cooked dinner for my family. I don't think I've ever been the one to cook before. Vera, you'd be proud! Then I went out down town with Lauren, my best friend in the whole world. We always have a perfectly great time just hanging out and catching up. We always live so far apart, but our life events are always so similar. Anyway, Tuedsay was great. I woke up and had a hair appointment. For those of you that don't know: Ben Young that works at Elements at 1st and Washington in Wichita Kansas is my hero. I love him and no one else will ever touch my hair! It's been this was for the a past 5 or 6 years now. Anway, while I was down town I vistied Dad at his office and then brought lunch back to Goddard High school for my bro and his other senior buddies. I hadn't even seen that building since I walked out of it 4 years ago. For the record it still looks the same and the bio room still smells like dead cats. That night we had a family/friends BBQ at the park. I mean everyone was there! Mom mom invited half of Wichita! It was a blast. I got to see most of my cousins and their kids, grandmas and great uncle, and friends from forever. It was great. Monica (my S. American friend from childhood)even came with her family so I got to prove that my Spain adventures have paid off in my language field. Anyway, today is Wednesday and I'm heading back to Lawrence/KC area. Dad woke me up before work and I made him some heavenly Illy espresso (I brought it back from Italia) to start the day. Then I met Grandma Weezie for Breakfast and hung out with her for a while. I worked out with Mom at her all women's gym (super cool by the way) and went for a run. Now I gotta get my stuff together and hit the road again. Grandmama feels like a road trip so I think her and Mom are takin' me back up north!
