So last night was my first overnight train experience. Aside from the poliza coming in to our cabin in the middle of the night and escorting 2 people out, it went quite well. Bad passports or something I assume.
Anyway, I arrived at 7 in the a.m. and Vera was waiting at the station for me! What a good friend! Did you know they charge you 70 cents to take a piss here. The bathrooms have securtiy here and they charge you! Milan, wow. So we took the Metro with all the angry morning people (she couldn't wait to show me the metro in the morning so we could make fun of all the grouches) back to her house. Aparently everyone that lives in the city lives in a flat. Well, because of family history they have a house. In the city, built into a big building, 3 floors high, house. Wonderful. It was early and Vera was out all night the night before so we took a little nap. Then her mom woke us up and cooked us...pasta of course! It's no lie, Italian people eat mountains of pasta and drink the best coffee in the world. After lunch she showed me Milano. We walked through the Quadrilatero della moda and down Montenapoleone. Milan is the fashion capital of the world and this street is famous for the most expensive shopping ever. Any designer you've ever heard of (except Besty Johnson) is on this street! Aunt Bonnie you better be reading this!! I missed you! We vist did the normal visit the city stuff and then headed back to get ready to go out.
