So Sunday night after the Wiremill comp, I had to come back
to Liquid to measure jump night and then go to Princes Club to watch the
Relentless team double up contest.  Catie
shut the shop real fast, we got our stuff together, the boys were callin' us
wonderin' where the H we were and then we got lost in a cab.  Freekin' guy!
Use you TomTom!!
             Finally we
got there.  The comp was over and
everyone was just in the massive double decker Relentless bus chillin'.  They have a traveling wakeboard team that's
been doing stops at different lake every day till Wake stock in Wales.  So we just did the normal hang out, drink a
bottle of JD, have a cross dressing fashion show and do ministry of sound work
out videos.  Nothing too exciting!  Catie and I are sort of part time pikeys
there, so we were thrilled to find a new fold out couch in the living room of
our part time caravan.  The team went
for  6 am ride and then peaced out.  We shuffled around and Catie I woke up in my
future "bosses" bed.  I slept till 11:30
and woke up to Catie fully dressed, cup to tea in hand saying, "are you every
gonna get up, it's actually sunny out!"
Ah, I needed to sleepin.  Today is
Adrianne's birthday!  She took the day
off work and we decided to celebrate her birthday by having a fun day on the
cable.  First of all.  Ad slaloms and wakeboard, and
wakeskates.  I am a 3 event bitch.  3 event boat driver.  So it was kinda funny lugging a gayboard down
the cable dock.  Anyway, I went to the
members changing room to freshen up and brush my teeth as we normally do when
we shack there, then to the bar to get a muffin and a cup of tea for staff
prices as we do when we shack there and then we sat in the sun and waited of Ad
to show up.  Going to princes is like
going on Holiday.  Being at a lake and not worry about working,
coaching, driving, when you can and can't ski.
It was a blast.  We knee boarded,
wakeboarded, swiveled, tricked... we even made a kneeboard pyramid!  1 handle, Catie and Ad on seperate boards and
me on top straddling both of them like a spider monkey.  We made it around the first corner then ate
shit around the next one.  Ad lost grip,
fell off, sending me spinning and wrecking, twisting my knee again, when she
popped up the knee board hit here square in the forhead and by the time we got
ourselves together and I could straighten my knee enough to swim Catie was
skimming by us, cheeky as you like, standing up on the kneeboard waving and
zipping around the corners.  It was a
long swim home, then we had to lug that massive kneeboard back.  Along the way we met another Amy who fell off
the back of a kneeboard too.  She was 11
though.  Well, my knee had had enough so
I decided to take a break.  We ordered
pizza and hung out, they rode some more and I soaked up the sun and tried to
finish the book I started at Christmas.
Some of the wakeboarders even tried to swivel.  That was a laugh!  Catie got an early start on the Stella and
after a glass of wine I decided my knee felt better too.  By then the cable had turned to 3 event and
after the worlds in Germany,
may I remind you, I'm well over cable 3 event, so I bummed some boardies, and
helmet and another board and headed to cable 2.
Catie was drunk and it was hilarious!
Antz is a rider from NZ and we had all his equipment so the 3 of us had
to take turns. 2 laps switch.  It was a
blast.  I really really hate to admit it,
but it was awesome.  I think when I grow
up, I'm gonna be a wakeboarder.  It was
getting dark by this time so we went in for supper and then caught a lift to
the train station where we missed our train and met Or on the next one (he
coaches the British cable 3 event team at princes). What a great, well needed
day off.  Now tomorrow back in it. 5:30
start.
