The coast line of Malaysia and the jungle was proving a little too hot so a visit to the Hill Station town of Tanah Rata was in order.

Nestled in the mountains around 1500m above sea level its nice to feel a cool breeze for a change. Originally set up by the British as a destination that gave respite to the hotter costal regions the Cameron Highlands now produces lots of fruit and is the main area for tea production in Malaysia.

We have had tea and scones, and eaten strawberries, it's all been rather British - a good reminder of old blighty sitting at home!

We even had to dust off our jumpers...not for long though, back to the warmer climbs of the coast and Kuala Lumpur soon.
