Always one to encourage free enterprise, we agreed to go on a tour to the Great Wall with a hilarious, long haired, big glass wearing crazy who ambushed us on the street with his tales of visiting sections of the wall hitherto untouched by the feet of western tourists!
His tales proved true, as after a tough trek through the under growth past some unsuspecting Chinese farmers we arrived at a section of the wall that was utterly untouched. The views, as we hope you'll agree, are breath taking. NB. Did you know that if you took all the bricks from the Great Wall, you could build a wall that went round the earth at 12ft tall...interesting, eh!? More thumbnails ...
