Yesterday I was phoned by a recruitment agency, Morgan Spencer, after having sent them my CV. Michelle said she'd like me to come in and do some testing and have a bit of a chat. She is a lovely woman and a character, to say the least! I swear I've never been called "my darling" as many times in my whole life as I did in one conversation with her! I was tested in Microsoft Word, Excel, and in typing. I did very well in each, so Michelle has high hopes for a placement for me.
Tonight I was invited to come along with Orla and Callum to a party to meet some of their friends. It's so funny; every time Orla introduces me it's "This is Amy, she's just come over from California!" And then the response is "Ooooh, is that so?" and then it carries on from there. I swear though, if I get asked ONE MORE TIME about the "OC" I think I will hit someone!! Hahaha! The party was nice and I met some interesting people.
Tomorrow John, Suelan, Peter and I are going to IKEA to pick up a few thins for the house (we're redecorating the lounge a bit). I also have to get a few items for my room: pillows (I like a lot of pillows) and a lamp cover for the main light. I like my room a lot. It's good size for me, and the bed is actually really comfortable! I think I definitely made the right choice with this house!
