Chatchuket Weekend Market is a massive labyrinth of stalls so inviting you could spend all day there; and that's exactly what we did.  Max decided to sacrifice a couple more days of work for the opportunity to purchase a Buddha head for his humble abode.  Rory and I were on the same mission, minus the Buddha head.  We were out to decorate our condo (future home) with artifacts and paintings that told a story to us.  Mission accomplished if I do say so myself.

By hour 6 we were on a first name basis with the shipping company staff and returning every so often with more bags and receipts to add to the meter cubed box.  I'm going to safely assume that our mammoth shopping spree will not fit in a meter cubed box, but they assured us a special box would be made to fit everything.  Since Max was heading home soon we decided to have everything sent to Dallas, TX.  How Rory and I will get our stuff to CA is something we'll have to noodle later.  For now, I'm sitting happy knowing that my genuine dark brown leather purse is safe and sound waiting for it's owner to come and pick it up.  Patience, Amy, patience.

A small window into our purchases:
1.  Golden teak wood carving of an ancient Thai warrior scene (Rory's favorite)
2.  2 different woodcarvings of Buddha images and elephants with gold accents
3.  Black, red and white painting of quoi fish
4.  Genuine dark brown leather purse (Amy's favorite)
5.  6-person sake set
6.  6-person table settings with placemats, coasters, napkins, chopsticks and soy dishes
7.  Bamboo living room accessories: couch tray, coasters, trash bin, and Kleenex box
8.  Elephant key ring holder
9.  Triangle pillow for the floor
10.  Hand sewn sunflower sequened dress

It's so exciting just writing about it I almost got buyers high again!
