After a 10hr direct flight we arrived in Narita Airport, Tokyo and started to freshen up at the airport. Finally here and its time to have some fun after all that preparation. After a long train trip which we estimated to be 80Km just to reach the city perimeter where we started seeing less of the burbs we started to see more of the city life.
We were impressed straight away with everyones pleasant nature. Always willing to greet and help. Michelle is tired and has crashed in only the way she knows how. It was like somebody threw a switch and she just wasnt there anymore. Darren sitting and talking to himself again. Anyway I too am not too far away after a big day visiting Shinjuku.
Our room has all the mod cons and is quite impressive but like all things Japanese its tiny. This makes it a tad hard to open your suitcases and have room to move around the bed. I'll try the bidet toilet out later and give you the goss. Shinjuku is where all the skyscrapers are and plenty of people but theres more than enough of everything to satisfy everyone.

We visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building #1 which is taller than the 43rd storey we were allowed to visit 'the observation deck' but we went up to that height in 53 seconds in an express lift. Very impressive. Dont ask about coming down.

We visited department stores like the Takamashi(not sure I spelt it right)which has many levels and even has a Disney Kids floor. This department store is located in Times Square.

Chasing down dinner was a little tough as there are lots of places to eat but we finally settled, ate and then with a bit of grub in our tummy's the sleep bug bit Michelle and the rest is history. I may wake her up after a little while and we'll go for another cruise.

The TV shows are fantastic they seem to have so much fun and their laughter is quite contagious. Tomorrow we visit Akihabara to see all the electronics and also Odaiba and perhaps Ginza (the Sony and Apple buildings are here) for dinner. Nap time. Cya.
