Another last minute addition to our roadtrip, we had spoken to a lady we met on the Big Sur who said we had to go to Sedona if we were in Arizona. So we drove from Arizona de sert and Lake Powell into lush green mountains within an hour. Very odd but amazing scenery. We had heard about the red rocks of Sedona and it was very different to see these red rocks compared to those we had already seen. Towering over the town below, several red rock mesas spanned the skyline. It was also home to The Coffee pot, Home of the 101 omelettes, complete with a decent wall of famous fans. Omelettes were fabulous and the place was packed!

Oddly the best views were from the town's small airport and there were panoramic views of the rocks for miles around.

We went to visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross which had been built into one of the red rocks and had amazing views. Again it was a very brief stop but well worth it.

Can't really describe the fabulous red rocks so take a look at the pics as they'll tell a better story...
